New F-1 Applicants
What is a New F-1 Applicant?
New F-1 applicants are outside the United States and seeking admission for the first time.
Important information about initial admission:
--Collin College does not issue Change of Status I-20
Step 1: Apply
Complete the Collin College Application for Admission.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Complete the F-1 Applicant Eligibility Questionnaire action item by submitting the following documents
Transcripts from most recently attended school
Passport (showing your name, country of origin, and expiration date with a minimum of 6 months validity)
Step 3: Proof of English Proficiency - TOEFL and IELTS accepted only; Pearson PTE and Duolingo NOT Accepted
Complete the F-1 Applicants TOEFL Scores or IELTS Scores Required action item by submitting TOEFL (institution code: 6805) or IELTS scores with the following minimum scores to be considered for admittance:
Academic Credit Programs:
TOEFL internet Based Test (iBT) minimum Total Score of 71
IELTS minimum Overall Band Score of 6.5
OR
English as a Second Language Program (ESL)
TOEFL internet Based Test (iBT) minimum Total Score of 32, with a minimum score of 8, in each skill
IELTS minimum Overall Band Score of 4.5, with a minimum of 4.0, in each skill

Step 4: Proof of Funds
Complete the F-1 Financial Information Required action item by providing documentation (English translation required) for at least one of the following:

Step 5: Foreign Address
Complete F-1 Foreign Address Required by entering your foreign address in the format of your country. (To included postal / zip code is necessary)
